Nine power

You see, nine is a very special number; it’s magical! For example, when I was a kid and had to memorize the multiplication tables of every number, I cheated on the number 9; how??  Look…

If you want to write the nine times table, you just have to start with 0 and write 1,2,3,… all the way up to 9 downwards; and then start from the bottom with 0 again and write 1,2,3,… all the way up to 9 upwards. And you have the nine times table:9 (1)

nine times one is      0 9
nine times two is      1 8
nine times three is    2 7
nine times four is     6
nine times five is      4 5
nine times six is       5 4
nine times seven is   6 3
nine times eight is    7 2
nine times nine is     8 1
nine times ten is       9 0

Another example: all multiples of 9 add up to nine! For e.g. take the number 18: 1+8=9 or 36: 3+6=9 or 108: 1+0+8=9 or 999: 9+9+9=27 and 2+7=9. No other number has this unique property!

Btw, what’s the date today? 16/3/2015 that is 1+6+3+2+0+1+5= 18 and 1+8=9!! hehe

A twin spin

They say an idle mind is a devil’s workshop; they are absolutely right! When I have nothing to do, I play with numbers n letters n possibilities…

So I thought, if English has 26 alphabets and if we assign a number to each letter, i.e. if A=1; B=2; C=3; D=4; E=5; F=6; G=7; H=8; I=9; J=10; K=11; L=12; M=13; N=14; O=15; P=16; Q=17; R=18; S=19; T=20; U=21; V=22; W=23; X=24; Y=25; Z=26, then what is the value of any word?

Let’s take an arbitrary name, STEFANY

S= 19

T=20

E=5

F=6

A=1

N=14

Y=25

so, STEFANY = 19+20+5+6+1+14+25 = 90 and that’s 9, i.e. 9+0=9!

Now let’s count backwards; that is, if Z=1; Y=2; X=3; W=4; V=5; U=6; T=7; S=8; R=9; Q=10; P=11; O=12; N=13; M=14; L=15; K=16; J=17; I=18; H=19; G=20; F=21; E=22; D=23; C=24; B=25; A=26; then what is STEFANY, in reverse?

S=8

T=7

E=22

F=21

A=26

N=13

Y=2

so, 8+7+22+21+26+13+2=99

and needless to say that’s 9, because every number can eventually be boiled down to a single digit i.e. here, 9+9=18 and 1+8=9*

Stefany is a nine, forward AND backward! And even if you had spelt that word with ph, i.e. Stephany instead of Stefany, it’d still be a nine, both directions… check it out!

I am amused to think how a few years ago I would have qualified all of this as madness, but now I know how mysterious the universe is…

*You must be wondering why I keep adding numbers like that... well according to numerology theory, ultimately every number, no matter how big, can be reduced to a single digit between 1-9; so for example, your birth day is 3 if you were born on the 3rd or 12th or 21st or the 30th. Or a bigger number 2345 is, 2+3+4+5 = 14 and adding again, 1+4 = 5, therefore, a single digit.

Any word, that counts up to a nine forward would also count up to a nine backward; for example, let’s take a smaller word: LOVE

forward and backward,

L=12 ; L=15

O=15 ; O=12

V=22 ; V=5

E=5 ; E=22

so forward, 12+15+22+5=54 and 5+4=9!

and backward, 15+12+5+22=54 and 5+4=9!

Oh look, this word is even symmetrical, that is it adds up to the same summation both directions; how magical is love; magicLove = 9 letters!  hehehe

You can try doing the same with any word; unless it adds up to a nine forward it won’t add up to a nine backward; only words like Stefany or love.

Task: try the words MARVI, RED & ZAR and tell me what you got! haha

Ok, now let’s take another name: BOI

forward:

B=2

O=6

I=9

so BOI = 2+6+9 = 17 and 1+7 = 8

backward,

B=25

O=12

I=18

so BOI = 25+12+18 = 55 and 5+5 = 1

Together forward and backward (i.e. 8+1) is 9!  In other words, the backward is a number that complements the nine in the forward. Every word that exists in the universe, forward and backward together, would always add up to a nine!!! That’s how magical 9 is! And this is only because English has 26 letters; if it had 25 or 27 this wouldn’t have been possible! 26 is an eight (2+6) and 8 symbolizes i-n-f-i-n-i-t-y!

If you could count infinity, i.e. all the numbers that exist in the universe put together, theoretically, if it were possible, then that summation would always be a nine too!!

How??

Aleph

Aleph is a point in the universe that contains everything, a point where everything becomes one thing only; the only place on earth where all places are – seen from every angle, each standing clear, without any confusion or blending. If all places in the universe are in the aleph, then all stars, all lamps, all sources of light are in it, too. Aleph is also the first letter of the hebrew alphabet, א. It is the symbol of transfinite numbers, of which any part is as great as the whole.

9, I’ve surmised is an aleph; it is a number that contains all the numbers in the universe. If infinity could be a finite number, then all the numbers in the universe would add up to a nine. Because all possible numbers are made of the numbers: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. So let’s count all the numbers that exist in mathematics:

0+1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9 = 45; and of course 45 being a multiple of 9 would add up to a nine!

So you see, indeed nine contains every number up to infinity; it is the magic number and the highest number!

And the magical thing is that if you just leave out the 9’s from a number, it’ll still reduce to a nine; so counting infinity without the nine, 0+1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8 = 36, which undoubtedly is 9.  Hence, counting the 9 or not is the same thing; while reducing any big number to a single digit, 9 acts like a zero and you can just eliminate it while counting the numerological single-digit value of that number.  For e.g. the number 9542 is a two because you can eliminate the 9 and then the 54, leaving behind the 2.  That’s a faster way of counting than adding all the digitsuntil the summation reduces to a single digit.  Here are some more unique & magical properties of nine:

Example # 1

If we write all the numbers down,

0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

Counting two numbers at a time, from the two ends, and zeroing in to the center, we get more nines! Look:

0+9=9

1+8=9

2+7=9

3+6=9

4+5=9

Even consecutive numbers, like 2,3,4 or 5,6,7 or 4,5 add up to nines.

Example # 2

The difference between any number and its following corresponding number is a nine too. For instance, let’s take a random number, say 8. The next 8 is 17 and the next is 26 and so on, right? So let’s take two consecutive eights, 26 and 17. The difference, that is 26-17=9; or 17-8=9!

Try it with any number and you’ll always find a nine!

Example # 3

Let’s take any two numbers that add up to a nine, for example, 2 and 7.

Now let’s take an arbitrary number, say 5. So, five multiplied by two plus five multiplied by seven is also a nine!

i.e. 5X2=10 and 5X7=35, so 10+35=45 which is a nine!

Another one, let’s take 4 and 5 (since 4+5=9) and an arbitrary number say, 7.

7X4=28 and 7X5=35, so 28+35=63, which is a nine (6+3)!

Amazing, huh??

Example #4

The building block of 9 is a three… 3 times 3 is a nine or 333!

And so all the third multiples of 3, 6, 12, 15, 21,… are also nines.

For example, 3×3, 3×6, 3×9, 3×12, 6×6, 6×12, 12×12, 15×3, 21X6 and so on… would also always add up to nines; check it!

And there are more, many more… such magical and unique properties of this number, only this number! Playing in my mind, almost every time I discover something new that is solely nine, that no other number can fathom. No wonder I have always been so attracted to nine; I must have known it since childhood… and now nine is helping me navigate destiny!

Deciphering magicNine bit by bit, was like studying a foreign language; at first the text looked like gibberish, but as you learned the rules defining its structure, you could start to extract meaning. Nine always spoke to me on my journey and I learned so much from it that I was spellbound; the teacher had become the student!

Even ‘m-a-g-i-c-N-i-n-e’ is 9 letters!
