baisakhi sahaA beautiful Venezuelan artist, who I have never met, wanted to paint me. She contacted me, got a photo then created her masterpiece. Must admit she’s extremely talented! 😍

She named her obra, “La Promesa a Baisakhi Saha” which translates to, “The Promise to Baisakhi Saha”. Compare her painting with the original picture above. This exhibition at the JULIO ARRAGA Art Gallery in Maracaibo, Zulia State of Venezuela, lasted a whole month, February – March 2018. Here is the gallery page on facebook

Bio: Evelyn Marlene Movil Almarza, nace en Venezuela el 6 de julio de 1987 en la Ciudad de Maracaibo, Edo. Zulia.

Estudios Experiencias Laborales Artísticas: Artista Plástico Autónomo. Dibujante & Pintora, ilustradora, realista y contemporánea. Profesora en la Universidad Católica Cecilio Acosta (UNICA). Docente de dibujo en la Escuela de Artes Plásticas Neptalí Rincón.

UPDATE 2019: Soon after, the painting went to yet another exhibition in Venezuela, at the Centro de Arte de Maracaibo, Lía Bermúdez. Fortunately, Baisakhi had a chance to visit the Maracaibo Art Centre, Lía Bermúdez, when she lived in Venezuela back in 2009.
