My encounter with Bahrisons

Here’s a brief composition about my Bahrisons experience in India for their 70th anniversary celebration:

My first encounter with Bahrisons was when I went to Delhi for the launch of my new book, Life Is Abracadabra. I remember I was looking for a particular address as I was unfamiliar with the city and their staff went out of the way to help me find the place. Later, I found out that they had copies of my own book on display and I was elated to see that! It was the first bookstore I went to on my India visit and fell in love with; I also ended up buying some books and making pictures with my own book there. A few days later, my publisher Hay House organized some book signing events at guess where? Yes, two different Bahrisons outlets in Delhi and both experiences were amazing. Such friendly staff and their bookstores are always brimming with readers and book enthusiasts alike! One bubbly reader browsing the store even offered to make a video of my event in Khan Market.

Then when Bahrisons was opening its new branch in Kolkata, an acquaintance informed me about attending the inauguration and seeing my book there. I made it a point to visit the store some day as I love books so much, and a few months later, I was in Kolkata looking for bookstores and once again found myself at Bahrisons in the Park Street area! I was with a friend and we shared a long heart to heart conversation with its manager about life and living, and all things in between. Such warm people running this store, they must have a passion for books to be at their best behavior at all times; I was pleasantly surprised by their extra-helpful attitude in both the cities I visited. I’ll surely do a book event in the Kolkata outlet before returning to Costa Rica in Central America where I live. And I’ll never forget my enjoyable encounter with at least four different Bahrisons outlets in India across two metropolitan cities.

Finally, B-a-h-r-i-s-o-n-s being nine-lettered is already a magical name in my vocabulary dictionary, because anybody who knows me also knows how obsessed I am with the magical number 9, its unique properties in the Universe, and any word or name that has nine letters in it becomes immediately special, so much that my very first book which I penned during my years of travels across the globe is called magicNine! Let me end this write-up on that jovial note of a 9 synchronicity!

Sharing some pictures of my Bahrisons visit at three different outlets in New Delhi! Also below, are links to two book signing event videos with my editor at Hay House India, Sonali Pawar, along with the event poster.
